Volunteering at Greenpeace

After my stint at litter damage control (Throwing waste in the bins)..this step was a natural extension to the former.. So like Gau has a long time ago, I too decided on joining the Greenpeace organization to make a contribution towards a better nation and a better world at a higher cause..
I guess the reason would be to see that this organization makes vociferous engagements against the destruction on nature and its beauty.

Calling it Quits!!!

Imagine this..

I am announcing my decision to QUIT SMOKING -~..

Well I know some feathers will flutter on dat decision..

But I have done a SWOT analysis reasons why I should and Why I shouldnt do it..

Lemme begin with the reasons for the Strengths..

1. It gives me a good old kick..
2. Its my partner in times of boring office and other hours..its engaging I mean..
3. Its a style statement..
4. My brand dosent stink like the others do..

Weaknesses..

1. It creates a hole in my pocket.. Calculations show me that.. 850 bucks(5 sutta's X 5 bucks X 30 days + error).. per month..probably will take care of my auto expenses in a little way..
2. I know I am in deep shit with money management.. this is some strategy to better that..
3. I know most of my people, frenz aint like me doing it..
4. I smoke the brand most people love to hate..my GG..

Opportunities..

1. My fren got me a zippo..Its on the lines for me to continue..style statement I said..
2. Well wat am I gonna find to drain me instead of my dear ciggy..I am researching that..
3. I know of people who might persuade me to start again.. but..I am sorry folks..

Weaknesses..

1. I cant smoke other brands.. probably started with the wrong one..
2. Even the calculations on other brands dont work positively..
3. It Kills.. I know thats cliche'..but it remains as a major factor..
4. It Kills people around..Pollution.. Passive smokers..I guess thats a neat beginning to think for other ppl's life..
5. Now if I hear these words.. ITS UR LIFE.. I have a statement against that one .. ITS URS TOO.. See above..I know this dost of mine will still cease to kill me after reading this..but at the end of the day will smile in the heart..

Anyways.. thanx to Mr.Porter..for SWOT analysis..I guess I got the rite Management guru on that strategy..u all know.. I hate strategies and books on them..

Thanx to my most beloved friends who showed me the path to take up smoking..and to those who persuaded me to Quit..
The latter ones win..

Workplace Antics!!

To decide if my present workplace is worthwhile or opposite is a tough one to make.. Lemme talk abt the routine that we have here..
While most offices are laden with people arriving on time, my workplace dosent bother me much on that factor..I wud say its rather unfair of me to go to office as late as I do..On projects we carry out the mundane task of working around with unusual timings..but wen u arent on one..as i am..then the former action springs in the routine..All is then left to do is carry the task of checking up mails..cribbing why I have to come to office in the first place?? It pushes me into my ever undying habit of a smoke..a lot of gossip on my worth in the organization.. my next increment..my this.. my that..blah blah..
To take a look around is a sad tale to the eyes..ppl are exactly doing the same wat I do..We try looking busy..they ignore your moderate presence..but then I cant term them as insensitive..coz I am one of them..exactly trying imitate the others..kya karen boss ko dikhana padta hai apunkaa worth..
Time flies here..soon u see empty spaces.. its lunch time..love it or hate it..everyone is starving..and then comes another round of smoke and same old discussions..we are getting this work.. we are getting that..unfortunately u only get to listen to these eavesdroppings from your seniors..then u settle to rub noses, yawn.. all a sign of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..
An early evening of snacks and chai plus ofcourse smoke adorns the outside space.. we discuss how much we did not work today.. why pay these amounts of salary to do this..We question tht everyday..
And sharp at 6.00 pm its bid adieu..

By now u must be thinking why we work here??

Well I have these answers,
.. where on earth do u get mongers who persistently prove that they are unworthy of getting salaries here, but always talk about their next hikes?
.. where would you find an office full of bosses waiting for their juniors to have a ciggy, while always claiming that more work needs to be done?
.. where would you find a workplace where your CEO takes you on a drinking party in his Tata Safari in the dead of the night, u see people wait for this kind of times in office when mostly 6.00 pm office looks like a haunted mansion.

I would put this workplace in a zone of its own.. it rocks for people empathy,dirty speaking, timings, the CEO- would have him call as a Chief Entertainment Officer..
It sucks coz of no work, nose digging, space for walk, forget not the lack of good babes..
while U decide for urselves..for me this office is life..its pays enough to sustain.. and encourages to stay put without work..
